Rebecka Tumblin
My name is Rebecka Tumblin and I am a physics and astronomy instructor. My Ph.D. research project utilized computational fluid dynamics and mathematical modeling to explore the conditions under which binary star systems and circum-binary planets form.
The picture above was taken at the Very Large Array, a radio observatory in New Mexico. You may recognize this famous observatory from the movie Contact starring Jodi Foster which is a film adaptation of Carl Sagan's 1985 novel of the same name. This picture was taken during an undergraduate research experience I took part in during my senior year.
I love teaching just as much as I love research. I truly believe that anyone can learn physics if they are curious and willing to put in some hard work.
