In this talk I will cover my journey from physics undergraduate at WVU to Principal Data Scientist at a Machine Learning startup.
I’ll cover some of the projects that I have worked on in my role as Data Scientist and cover some of the main data science/machine learning
techniques involved with each. These projects cover many areas from 3D object detection with deep learning, motion tracking in security footage,
modeling topics in a large email database, and others. I’ll wrap up by giving some advice for those that are looking to make the transition
from physics to data science.
